A familiar melody can suddenly feel offputtingly jaunty.

A well known text, wedded to the wrong tune, acquires an entirely new personality.

None of this is intended for divine worship, choir practice, or unsuspecting congregations. This is sacred music offered with a wink and a nod, with affection, mischief, and a working knowledge of the metrical index of hymnals.

Edited and compiled by writer and lay clerk Timothy E. Popple, this volume gathers these pairings in print for the first time.

It is a book for those who love hymns enough to laugh at them, respect tradition enough to break it, and find joy in the absurd.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY

You are purchasing a Digital Download.
